How does Vockal work?

You speak into your phone, and the audio is streamed to our server for real-time transcription. An AI agent then interprets your intent, plans a sequence of desktop actions (clicks, typing, scrolling, app switching), and pushes them to the Vockal desktop app on your computer for execution.

Is my audio stored?

No. Audio is streamed to a third-party provider for real-time speech-to-text transcription and is not stored after processing. Vockal never retains your raw audio data.

What can I control on my desktop?

Vockal can click, type text, scroll, switch between apps, navigate to URLs, and take screenshots. The AI agent can chain multiple actions together and verify each step with screenshots before proceeding.

How is security handled?

A cryptographic secret key is generated during pairing and stored only on your phone and desktop - the server never sees it. Every action must be signed with this key before your desktop will execute it. Shell commands and system modifications are permanently banned. The only way someone could control your desktop is if they physically stole your device or you installed an unofficial build from a malicious source.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Vockal uses device pairing instead of accounts. Your desktop displays a QR code, you scan it with your phone, and the two devices are paired. No passwords, no emails required for basic use. An optional email can be added for device recovery.

What platforms are supported?

The desktop app runs on Windows. The mobile app runs on iOS and Android. Multi-desktop support lets you control multiple Windows machines from a single phone.
